One of a select few cleaners to make it into my collection, this British machine was made in the 1990's, features an 800 watt motor with Extra Suction Power. It folds flat to easily reach under furniture. FUN FACT: Shortly after it acquired The Eureka Company here in the US, AB Electrolux of Sweden exported this machine as the Eureka Contour: it was offered as a "vac-shop only" product. Dyson DC18 Slim versus Eureka Maxima
voir la vidéoGranted the Dyson cost $200 and the Eureka $50 but I expect the DC18 to be so much better around the house. Being able to turn brush off is great for our kitchen and hardwood floors. The detachable hose on Dyson is fantastic to get cobwebs in light fixtures, skylights, and corners, and gets under and around cabinets and furniture easily. Emptying the dustbin is a snap. What's wrong with this machine?
voir la vidéoHere is my other Eureka, the 2072A. It's a really nice machine, with the Vibra-Groomer agitator, a cool "box-top" type bag, Rugulator sliding carpet height adjustment, and a two-speed motor. BUT, it has a problem -- and it's that two-speed motor where I think the problem lies! So I'm hoping that somebody out there will see this and be able to tell me what they think the problem might be.
