Using A Steamer To Remove Red Stains From Carpet

Red stains are easily removed with a wall paper steamer (scroll down to see product link). Using either Ammonia (50/50 mix with tap water), or Hydrogen Peroxide, along with the steam plate to provide the heat. We demonstrate how to use these solutions, and the Wagner 705 Steamer in real time in this video.

Other colors can also be removed using this method, but not every stain (including red) can always be successfully 100% taken out, so your mileage may vary.

Rug Doctor Cleaning With Simple Green

Using Simple Green at full strength (pre-sprayed with a pump up sprayer ten minutes prior to extraction) for a test. We had great success with Simple Green, as it allowed us to clean with one product, instead of two (previously using a detergent and a grease remover when necessary).

Note: Never put any non Rug Doctor brand products IN the machine, use a sprayer instead to apply and allow time for the detergent to break down the stains before extracting.
